Aaron, Neal: Without Neal's help, the PCL 6th Edition would never have happened. This is quite literal. Neal was indeed the driving force behind the latest version, and provided most of the material for it. "Astronomers Eye 'Twilight Zone' Search for Vulcanoids" B., John: For turning me on to some Babylonian deity naming conventions, specifically for Venus-like worlds (Cythereans). Bowers, Steve: Steve has been very instrumental in some of the latter development of the PCL (versions 3.0 and above), including some new planet Types, as well as tweaking pre-existing Types. Brasher, Sean: For his ideas on even finer defining characteristics, which was integrated into single planet information. Breen, Sean M.: For coming up with the entire concept of classifying artificial worlds, as well as help with some naming conventions. Celestia: A wonderful simulation and observational program, used to make all of the planetary images that you will see here. As the program continues to be under development, I have used various versions. For this project, versions used include: 1.4.0 pre5, 1.4.0 pre6, 1.4.1 pre2 David Darling's Astronomy Encyclopedia D Bellomy: For plenty of aid in refining some of the existing classes, as well as aid with some water-based life on AmuGaian worlds. Diamond Worlds Could Exist: A report which aided me in the creation of the Carbon Type planet under the Terrestrial Class. "Elusive Vulcanoids: Search Reaches New Heights" Encyclopedia of Astrobiology, Astronomy, and Spaceflight: Some great help for classical definitions of various types of space bodies. Extrasolar Visions: A wonderful website blending the art of the late John Whatmough and the science of the latest discoveries. John passed away in September of 2005, far too early for a man of his talent and enthusiasm. Herndon, Lee: Lee did a wonderful write up for the Vesperian Type worlds. My deepest apologies for taking so bloody long to get it online! Hinsley, Stewart Robert: For his invaluable aid in helping me to define many of these planet types. Innis, Stephen: For allowing me to use his description of chlorine worlds, located at Orion's Arm. Kuchner, Marc J. and Seager, S.: "Extrasolar Carbon Planets", 2005, April. Miller, Ron; Hartmann, William K.: The Grand Tour, Revised Edition, Workman Publishing, 1993. Orion's Arm Mailing List: The primary forum for Orion's Arm, and the source of much help for this version of the PCL. Paul, James: For his originating the idea of the Carbonaceous Clear Giant. Rhiemeier, Joerg: For pointing out a better mass separation for the different Jovian worlds. Sudarsky et al. 2000: An excellent discussion on Jovian world types and their characteristics, based on temperature and resulting cloud formation. Wikipedia's entry on C-type Asteroids Wilson, Jefferson: For some excellent planet type suggestions, including the AmuGaian Subtype. World Building Mailing List: This is the list which saw the genesis of the PCL back in 1996, and its development up to version 1.0.
