The Feidlech (Aské) System
And the
primary world of Maeve (Kelari)
presented by
the Exploration Society's Institute of Planetological Natural History

Kelari is a GaianCampian world in a most
interesting system. Comprised of two pairs of planets, each
orbiting a common center of mass, and in turn orbiting a central center of mass,
this is a remarkably
unlikely arrangement, and some believe it to be an artificial one. Kelari
itself is home to a Lost Colony,
its inhabitants having been genetically altered thousands of years ago.
indeed, the entire biosphere
seems to have been bio-engineered, though there is no indication by what
species. Some believe that,
in light of this, it is entirely possible that other worlds of the system were
placed here as well, possibly
to serve as homes for other bio-engineered ecospheres. If true, then the
project was obviously never
completed. Kelari itself remains a dangerous world, where every major form
of animal life seems to have
been engineered as a predator of some sort. Forests are thick, with barren
highlands, although animal
life is somewhat uncommon, possibly due to extinction rates resulting from such
an untenable ecology.

Kelari's immediate companion, Muhrashi,
casts its shadow over the surface of the life-bearing planet.

A triple moon-set (although the worlds are
not truly considered moons) from the surface of Kelari.

Muhrashi is considered a Selenian body due
to its low density and high silicate content. However,
it is atypical in that it possesses a nitrogen atmosphere, and indications of
geologically recent surface
metamorphosis due to the presence of water. This reinforces the theory of
ancient attempts at terraforming.

Seen through the haze of Muhrashi's relic
atmosphere, Kelari rises above a barren landscape.

Chiloque is a Hebean world, and indeed
it's surface is scored by volcanic vents and major rifts. The
atmosphere is largely carbon dioxide, but the planet itself is not terribly
active, and may indeed be entering
into a phase of life where it is no longer geologically active. As such,
its atmosphere is not very thick.

Like the other worlds of this system, the
surface of Chiloque is a feast for the eye. Most prominent, of
course, is Chiloque's primary companion, Jhiravan.

Jhiravan is a EuArean world with ample
signs of surface water within the past few thousand years. Again,
this is evidence of a world that might have been terraformed and ready for life.
For whatever reason,
that life was never delivered, and the world regressed back into a dry and cold
state.
